    Hi,

was wondering if I would be better off getting myself a Tp-link (or similar) or getting an electrician to put in another line and move the router.

Or would there be a better solution?

I'm mainly looking to get an ethernet connection into a room of a bungalow without the need to run a long cable to my desktop.

Broadband ISP is eircom, router is a netopia 2247nwg router.

The powerline adapters are a handy solution and work well.
    Cheaper than an sparky too.

Figured as much, might look into grabbing a set. Would come in handy in the long run for portability too.
