I wonder when will Kenny say he is on RTE or has he done it yet?

Not that I've noticed as of yet.

Not a lot in it, both doing a good job, probably PK a bit ahead for me because he seems to have left some of his R1 baggage like MLOD after him. As I suggested before kick-off, SOR appears to have been told to carry on doing this exactly as Pat did, though perhaps this will change over time.

Perhaps the poll should have a can't split them option?

This is the thing isn't it? I flicked over yesterday during an ad break only to hear MLOD and so went straight back to Kenny. Next week I should make a point of listening to SO'R just to see what's the same, what's changed and how O'Rourke himself is adapting to the new role.

    There is no contest here

Kenny wipes the floor with O'Rourke thoroughly and consistently

SOR still sounds like he is presenting the News at One. I think PK will win out because he is better at changing the tone depending on the subject matter. SOR is too much of a one-trick-pony.

Pat Kenny, but I switch back over for O'Rourke's old show.

I like O'Rourke, I like Pat too, this is like Sophie's choice!

Kenny should talk less, and let the interviewee speak more.

What has always annoyed me about Kenny is the way he takes on the mantle of being an expert on all subjects! Pat Kenny could have on the world leader in Quantum Mechanics and yet Kenny himself will talk for at least 50% of the time (as if he has all the knowledge on the subject), while the poor old guest will only get in a short sentence in here and there, to be constantly interrupted . . . .

    I haven't heard Sean O'Rourke yet.

SOR = bog; PK more inclusive

This poll may, I suspect, prove as accurate a prediction of an outcome as did the legendary boards General Election vote of 2011, and indeed as amusing to the loser as was that GE effort.

Had MO'C replaced PK, I would not 'stay there' and Id be gone- 'genuinely'

But I have a lot of respect for SOR so when I get a chance to listen, I'll channel hop

Its the topic of discussion that sways me rather than the presenter.

I'm not going to listen to an item that doesn't interest me regardless of who is covering it.

And if there is a clash of something that does interest me on both programmes, there's always playback or podcasts.

In such cases I'll usually listen to Pat when its live simply because I find RTÉ's playback features easier to navigate.

Both presenters are exceptionally good at what they do and I don't have any preference for one over the other.

With two heavyweight current affairs programmes going head to head, listeners now have a choice like they never had before.

    Long may it last.

As I suggested before kick-off, SOR appears to have been told to carry on doing this exactly as Pat did,

And POG is still getting pally with the lower orders. Once we hear the first pluck of a banjo string I'll have been totally vindicated...

Poll 4:1 in Pat's favour, if this is reflected to any significant extent in the next JNLRs, things could get very interesting. Will there be any sort of interim figures before that?
