I'm a second year science ed. Any questions, ask away! There's a thread a few pages back if you want to give that a read.

Thanks :D, is it difficult to do subjects like physics or chemistry? I didn't do them for the LC, i did biology tho. Also, i did OL maths - is the course difficult to do when one hasn't done the HL Maths course for the LC :D

    Thanks again :)

The first year stuff is standard enough. OL maths should well see you through, and I picked up biology within a year (debatable based on exam results, but I digress). The physics isn't too tough (really, it's just more maths) and chemistry is fairly okay. Just do the work and you should be grand.

You're in the exact position I was in last year. I only had LC Biology and OL maths going into the course and I had to pick up Physics, Chemistry and essentially Maths. I'm not going to say it was easy because it wasn't, but it definitely wasn't impossible. Physics and Chemistry in 1st year are basically the LC courses plus a little bit extra so by 2nd year everyone will be on the same page. Maths is the tough one. The content is definitely challenging but there's so much help available for maths. There's a drop in centre available for when you're having trouble with the assignments and there's a maths workshop every week which is great too. You'll be fine! :)

You'll have a fairly full timetable (about 20 hours, iirc). You *may* be able to work it so you can have Fridays off (not 100% on that). You'll have a lab each week for Biology, Physics and Chemistry, as well as Chemistry tutorials and Maths tutorials.

On tutorials, it was first come first served in choosing tutorial slots when I did maths so get in as soon as the options become available or you could end up with a crappy tutorial time or one which overlaps with another lecture/lab/tutorial.

The class will have only have about 20 something people so you will become very close friends with everyone. It can be quite a cliquey group when in lectures with all the other science students. Science Ed's tend to stick together :pac:
