Really short jerseys - WTF?

What's the deal with the fit of some jerseys? I've gotten a few this summer (ROK, TOW, and most recently a Dare2b one given to me as a present) that come not much further south than my belly button. They don't feel right, I don't think they look right, and they leave the rear pockets so high on your back that you have to be a contortionist to get at your grub on the move. My old reliable Lidloraldi ones don't have this issue, so what's up? Can anyone enlighten me?

Sizes can vary between manufacturers and countries. One countries idea of a large is anoter countries medium. It seems to be a problem across clothing as a whole

The above should clear up all the variance. Countries have been slow to adopt it though.

The Dare2B jersey may possibly from TK Maxx and may be seconds. I looked at them recently and they're ridiculous looking. The large fitted me perfectly in the sleeves and chest but like you said barely made it to my belly button. I also tried on a Dunlop jersey in the shop too and it was so long it nearly reached the back of my knees but was perfect in the chest and sleeves. I figured they had to be factory rejects.

I think it's weird. If it was a belly problem (it's not, honest!) that wouldn't explain why the rear pockets are at shoulder blade level! Likewise, if it was a simple case of one country's 'Large' being another's 'Medium' you would at least expect the measurements to be consistent in the garment - if it's too short for you it's also going to be too tight, and vice versa. But in this case it's just too small in one direction (length), and I'm not freakishly tall. (In fact I have never been described as being *any* kind of tall ;-)

So are there certain manufacturers with 'good' fits that anyone can recommend?

I hear that they're making Airplane seats wider now.....

I have a dare2b jersey and I think it's pretty good, one of my favourites. Size XS and everything is where it should be

Have you it on upside down??

Sounds v weird to be honest. I have a belly and they all cover it well, they are size L and fit sound.

Careful now, you're going to force me to post a photo and no one will be happy about that :D

I've the exact opposite problem - I'm quite short and wide in the shoulders for my height and jerseys tend to hang over my arse if the pockets are heavily laden. Spin11 jerseys suit me great in size small!

I found this a problem with DhB stuff. Anything that was long enough was baggy.

My shoulders are pretty broad and my torso is pretty long so I put it down to a fault in me, not DhB
