Education advice

Hi who evers reading, Im 24 and am just about to beging a degree in Business an IT and im aware its only a 3 year ordinary degree with no work placement.. Im predicting after the three years ill be back in the same position i am now.. Jobless.. Has anyone got any advice on what else i can do inside or outside college to help me get employment something else that looks good on a CV as i now like to plan and prepare ahead.

Join clubs and societies - http://www.it-tallaght.ie/contentfiles/Documents/sports_recreation/Clubs_Societies_Contacts_2012_2013.pdf - If you can then get involved on a committee it looks good on your cv

Speaking from experience these type of courses should have some element of a work placement but then again they encourage you to do your bit of work experience during the summer months or get a part time job. I would highly recommend to get your own bit of work experience on the side whether its relevant or not to the course. Volunteering work or unpaid work be good to do.

Join clubs/societies in college they come in handy when it comes to examples of teamwork when you are at interviews.
