Im wondering can anyone give me some advice, with baby number 2 imminent it is time to upgrade the car and get a bigger one. My budget is around 10k and it needs to have a big boot , I would also like it to be an estate but not is priority. It will be mostly be used driving around the city with the odd trip from Cork to Dublin, I was considering getting a diesel but was told that the new diesels with dpf dont like the short trips.
I have been considering something like this

Some cars can pull off white,
    Base model focus estate can't

Also get something with rear electric windows,

Kia ceed/i30 estate are good bets

While that doesn't have a DPF that engine does tend to go through flywheels frequently enough. All that city driving probably won't help either.

If your not doing big miles, no point paying for a diesel.

    How about a 407 estate?

If allergic to Frenchness, an Octavia estate?

Or if you like Toyotas, an Avensis Estate?
