HI all - I'm consdering buying this TV.

I'm new enough to the whole Smart TV era - can anyone advise:

    a. Do I still need UPC connected - (the description on this says it has FreeView and SaorView) - if both of these are available will they automatically tune?

I can't seem to find anything related to Ireland in any reviews etc so finding it hard to find out information.

    b. Will I be able to stream movies/TV shows on line through the TV?

Is there anything else I need to consider - is it possible to record on these TV's?? I seris link alot of TV on UPC at the moment...

Thanks in advance all for your help!!

You won't get Saorview or Freeview without a suitable aerial connected to the tv. Freeview is the UK terrestrial broadcast service & is limited in Ireland to areas of 'overspill' reception from UK-based transmitters.

The spec. for the 'smart' models (UE39F5300 & UE39F5500) states 'Time shift available', so they will record, presumably to an external device connected via USB.

I don't know a lot about 'smart' features tbh, but I would think streaming would be a big part of it.
