    Hi I have an 02 Porsche 996 ,

yesterday one of the xenon lights stopped working
when you turn on the light its flickers for a split second and then it wont go out
any one know what would be a common fault on this ( ballast , controller etc)
ive checked the obvious like fuse and conenctions
    Cheers

It's probably going to be an igniter or bulb, best bet is to swap over the bulbs to opposite sides and see what happens, after that i'd swap igniters and then ballasts.

The are probably made by bosch or hella and these igniters are known to give trouble i've had the same problem on my old Bora and on my current S3.

flicking the light switch on and off rapidly nearly always got the dude igniter to work.
