In the beginning there was JACK and JACK had a groove and from this groove came the groove of all grooves! With Fritz Kalkbrenner already looking like a sellout show at JACK it is now time to reveal the very first double lineup. Two of the most well respected names from underground right now Flashmob and Prince Club will make the perfect pairing at JACK on Friday September 20th.

It’s fair to say the last year has been an exciting one for Flashmob. Riding a tidal wave of success generated by the ravenous response to singles ‘Brick House’, ‘Ninety Five’ and – most significantly – ‘Need In Me’, Flashmob have carved an indelible niche for themselves, crafting sublimely unpretentious house music, the widespread appeal of which has been near unprecedented.

Although enjoying some early success with the likes of Brick House and Ninety Five it wasn’t till ‘Need In Me’ however that they truly announced their arrival on the scene. Signed by house heavyweight Defected Records and awarded the accolade of Essential New Tune by Pete Tong ‘Need In Me’ was undoubtedly one of the biggest tracks of the year in Ibiza it remains and biggest selling track on Defected of 2012. But despite all its subsequent triumphs it was a record that was close to never seeing the light of day. The duo had doubts about whether they wanted to release the track and if it was the right record for them. Thankfully they made the right call in the end.

Since then the Italian duo have gone from strength to strength. Recent release Pieces also on Defected cemented their reputation as an innovative duo not afraid to take risks with their productions. The record introduces acid house elements alongside the driving energy always present in their tunes. Put alongside their massively successful rework of The Pet Shop Boys and its clear Flashmob have a knack for creating house anthems.

Playing alongside them are Canadian up and comers Prince Club. With a host of driving house tracks the duo have catapulted themselves to the forefront of the underground scene this year. Announcing their arrival with gems like Love Strong and The Block, the adventurous duo has since secured releases on heavyweights Toolroom and Defected. Their remix of Miguel Migs track Heartbeat achieving particular notoriety. Combined the two acts form one of the tastiest lineups you will see in Dublin this year.
