Looking to install Pocket Doors

    Hi all

I want to replace two sets of double hinged doors with 2 sets of pocket doors.

I can't seem to find a supplier of the doors I would like.

I'm handy enough but as it's my home I think I'd like the job done by a pro. I have a plasterer that I trust so it's literally the frame and doors I need.

Are the doors just regular doors with rails/tracks attached?

And does anyone know of someone who is skilled in this area?

See attached for pic of preferred doors

    Thanks

    G

No. They are usually, narrower, lighter doors. Should be d to source or get them made up.

What are the walls made from?

One wall was an external wall (now internal after an.extension) that now is 1800 x 2000 so obviously block. The other is standard double door width at 1400-ish and is just batons and board.

I've no problem putting a new wall up to create the pocket.

I've seen both those websites and I was looking for more of a one stop solution rather than ordering frames and then a carpenter for doors and a plasterer

As has been said they're usually light eggshell Doors. But you can use any Door once you make sure the Track is designed to carry the weight.
Hang the Track and Door. Make sure all is sliding properly. Then use timber or metal stud to create the Stud Wall to Cover the Door. Job done.
