    Hey

I got a new bookshelf built into my sitting room, I've put most of my books on it, ones that aren't ebooks. I don't know what else you can put in a bookshelf these days :S I don't own that many books,DVD's, cd's or whatever. I've included a picture, the shelf compartment sizes are 8 inches deep and 8.5 inches high. They're 27 and 17 inches across.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what might look cool on it?

Weird question,I know. Thanks in advance

Some coloured glass jars and bottles from the likes of Ikea or Homestore & More.
A picture frame or 2 with a favourite pics or 2 of yours.
Maybe a small trailing ivy plant on the lower part.

Thanks Paddy, I'll have a look in home store over the weekend. Not mad about plants inside, but like the idea of bottles, maybe even a few with a bit of gin in them :p

A shelf with nothing on it might be a good idea. Especially if all the others have something on them, that will make the one with nothing on it stand out. And when people ask you what is on that shelf. You can say NOTHING! And the even greater thing about NOTHING is that it does not cost you anything and it looks great.

....while putting the remaining books on the floor infront of the sofa and use them as a foot rest...:pac::D
