Air tight expandable foam

    Hi,

I have a small 2 inch duct pipe through my just completed new build (moved in on Saturday last) from the outer edge of the raft through the subfloor and up to the point where i have my oven (electric oven, gas hob).
There is a ~1" gas pipe (including protective lining) running through the duct. I need to seal the rest of the 'surface area' of the duct and was going to use an air-tight expandable foam like say: http://www.abbuildingproducts.co.uk/air-tight-expanding-foam-pr-6045.php
i.e.: just stick the nossle into the duct and fill it.
Is there any risk with this approach give it is a gas pipe or am i just being overly sensitive ?!
Side note .... i got a 1.26 air tightness result in what is a dormer house with PVC sliding sash windows and with this hole !

    Cheers.
