lodging a cheque in from Permanent TSB to Bank of Irleand

    hello I will be receiving a cheque soon for TSB and want to lodge it into my bank of Ireland account

    I know a cheque takes a few days to clear but am I able to access it straight away as I have builders I need to pay

    Hi tajd,

    Thanks for your post.

    All cheques and drafts are subject to clearing and a non BOI cheque takes five working days to clear. Your branch may be able to give you access to the funds while they are still clearing. This type of request is on a case by case basis and would be dealt with by the Personal Lender or a Customer Advisor in your account holding branch.
