Depending on your income and personal circumstances, you may not be due to pay any paye. A rough guide is to multiply the standard personal tax credit of 1650 and the paye credit of 1650 by 5 to give 16500 euro where you do not pay any paye. That's a yearly figure.

    Check with your payroll.

    Hi Jake,

I work in Payroll and it is definately something you should bring up and ask him.
Can I ask are you paying USC or is it just the PAYE that is nil?
If so, it could be that the accountant has set you up as a new employee with this company but not actually listed your previous employment info., i.e. Gross to date, PAYE to date, etc. and if this is the case it looks like you haven't worked at all in the year and you'd be getting the benefit of all your Tax Credits and COP's to date on your pay from just this new employment.
Its not worth the panic come the end of the year if you get a letter from Revenue, so I would most certainly be requesting him to look at it for you. Hope you get it sorted. If you have any questions just drop me a PM.
    Jennie
