New Contract 2nd Sept but worked from 28th August?

    Do i get paid from the 28th August or the 2nd September?

    I had a similar contract a few years ago and the school itself covered the non contract days.

    I think there is a form called 'form B' which you can get from the teaching council. You get the school to sign off on extra hours you did and send it back to the council to get paid.... At least i think that's how it works!!

    if you have a years contract, you get paid for the 167 days in theory. If its maternity etc at the subbing rate, you get paid for all the hours you did. In theory its not in the school year but it all balances out.

    it could be croke park hours, it could be teaching hours, either way its part of the current school year of 167 days plus meetings. Contracts always go from 1st sept-31st aug however the actual school teaching days can overlap.

    More or less. The other way to look at this is that if you only spend a year in the school and they start in or around the 28th august next year, you will be getting paid until the 31st and will get paid for days you are not teaching. It evens out over the year.

    But your other point, 'entering your second year' if it's not in the same school you are not entering your second year of anything.

    Well as far as incremental credit is concerned its important, i.e. the second year.
