JCB 3 CX engine 1987

    Hi all,

    Anyone know where i can pick up a 3cx engine for 1987 JCB?
    My engine is running on its last legs and i need to try adn ind another engine?

    It's a perkins engine, isn't it?
    These are far cheaper to rebuild than to buy another one for

    Yep a Perkins engine.

    How much roughly would i be talking to rebuild and how much for an engine?

    I know a man selling a1988 3cx machine for around 4000 It might work out cheaper

    massey 398s have the perkins phazer engine in them. same as 3cx i believe

    I believe it still fits as they are both industrial Perkins engine

    I rebuilt the engine in my Massey 398 for I believe 2000ish but that was genuine parts from perkins
