Hi guys, im about to go back to windows phone ,nokia 920 to be exact, had a HTC Radar WP7 then went to android and now going back to WP8.

My main concern is apps, the Strava app for andriod in particular will be sorely missed so i researched a bit into see whats on offer with WP8 and came up with endomondo which is meant to do the same thing, ie track my cycle distance, gradients etc.

Im just wondering if anyone uses it or maybe has used both it and strava and can maybe compare?

Also while im at it i use twitch tv app a bit too, when i was on WP7 there was no twitch tv app,

    I've tried Endomondo (on WP7.8).
Tried is the word though, as it was unusable and crashed non stop.

There seem to be a good number of sports / running / cycling / fitness apps on windows phone, if endomondo doesn't do the business I'd be fairly confident you'd find another. Wpcentral.com did a comparison of these apps a few months back, might be worth checking on their site.

there's a twitch tv app alright, its not free as its a 3rd party app. Reviews are good despite lots of people giving one star reviews because its not free. Because 2 euro will obviously bankrupt you!

just out of interest, are you going for the 920 over say the 925 for any specific reason, such as price or wireless charging?

Price more than anything, tempted by the 820 too but hearing battery isnt great and obviously screen and camera arent as nice as the 920.
I dont think i get the wireless charging pad thingy with the 920 i dont think?

    Ill check out WP central,thanks.

Never say never. I thought it was gimmicky until I got it. It's honestly brilliant and you can pick up Qi compatible chargers for much cheaper than the nokia ones.

agreed on the wireless charging. My next phone will need to have this either built in or available as a snap on cover or similar. Its the convenience on the bedside locker and desk at work that sells it.

I've just checked amazon and the like and in fairness there are some amazing deals on the Lumia 920. The camera especially still beats many of the latest handsets so its a good choice at those prices.

That's a very good price. I was only checking on Expansys for prices as I'll be selling mine as soon as the 1020 is available. They are still ~450 euros on there.

took almost 6 weeks between ordering my black 920 and receiving it last year!

btw if you get tired of the white you can order a different color housing off eBay for about 20 euro, all OEM and easy enough to perform the swap

Just posting to say I've been using Endomondo for years now with my Garmin 610 but when I've sent that back for repair or have forgotten to charge it up I have been using the Endomondo app and its never crashed on me. It's actually very accurate. The app is free so its definitely worth trying out. I love Endomondo :D

I've been using Endomondo on WP7 (not 7.8 its an old Omnia7 phone) and its by far the best of the bunch I've tried.
