Waterford/Rosslare - one last rattle of the cage?

Recently went down the tried and tested route of trying to hire a special train from IE for a special over the closed Waterford/Rosslare line and the result was not unexpected. It took two emails to elicit the response below - no real explanation but just stating the bleedin' obvious. No doubt if pushed further they will dig up some nonsense about the line no longer having a passenger worthy certificate or whatever it's called. Just what is the point of the NTA instructing IE to maintain the line if it is unavailable?

maybe we could "borrow" a limerick waterfrd service once it arrives in waterford and "extend" it to rosslare? you drive and i'l drive me van and open the gates, okay back to the real world, sadly it was obvious that irish rail weren't going to allow a special to run, their not going to allow anything to run on this line apart from the weedsprayer for a while then that won't run and the no trains authority will allow them to get away with eventually not bothering to keep the line operable, no doubt the only train to run eventually will be todd the tank and a few merry wagons on the lifting special (sorry i forgot that doesn't run anymore oh well)

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.
