Huge fan who looks forward to watching new episodes every Monday night on Netflix alone but was wondering if anyone knows of any Breaking Bad viewing parties in Dublin ( pub/ house ) as I would like to share the experience especially now as we are hurtling toward the very end.

Sounds good in principle, but I don't know; it's one of those shows where you really need to hear every word and a public place isn't always appropriate for that. But good luck with it anyway. :)

I was thinking the same, OP.

But then realised that if someone was talking loudly or yelling at the screen I'd probably punch them in the face rather than miss something.

A post-finale party could be a good idea, for loads of fans to get together and talk about the show.

Great idea, although I agree with Foux, I'd get very irked even if someone was breathing too loudly at a crucial moment.

When is the last episode going to air in the US? And when will it be on Netflix?

The last episode will show at 9pm US Eastern Time, so it'll be on their Netflix very shortly afterwards. So around 4/5am our time.

It's out in Irish Netflix at around 9am our Monday morning.

Netflix is perfect, because it has closed captions, so we wouldn't miss a thing.

I've actually been thinking about this recently! The only way I can figure out to do it is with an Apple Tv with a netflix account, and a big enough screen that takes HDMI.

And of course, somewhere central. About 8-8:30pm in the evening would be perfect I think. Gives people time to get there, and people who need time to go home and change and stuff / feed the kids / etc.

I could probably sort the Apple TV and the Netflix account. Just need a suitable venue.

If all goes to plan, the last episode should air September 29th,just 4 weeks away!

Find somewhere with a big screen. :D
If I win the lotto before the 29th I will buy a cinema so we can watch it there.

I.live in collinswood.close to dcu so not far from the city but have a three year old so viewing time would have to be about 9 om on Monday. Tv is not Netflix compatible though and living room could only reasonably accommodate eight maybe ten people.

City Centre would probably make the most sense. Many places have big screens and we'd have no trouble booking somewhere for a Monday.

Netflix US don't get new episodes at all. Only in Ireland and UK and normally between 8 and 9 am next morning.

I'm confused, are people not just going in to wherever they need to be a little late that day? I plan to be watching the finale at 9am, if I can wait that long.

I think I'd be able to hold off - Mondays have been hard the last four weeks - until later that day if I was waiting for a good reason.

Would be a hell of a day waiting, especially as they'll definitely make episode 7 a ridiculous cliffhanger.

Might be better to do something like an online commentary. We all watch the finale as normal, then rewatch a few days later at a set time and post about it live, or something.
