Asking 400 euro for a Cannondale cyclocross bike.

Get into CX on the cheap and get a commuter cum cycle tourer into the bargain.

    54cm in standard sizing.
    Would suit anyone from 5' 8" to 5' 11" (173cm to 180cm approx)

The bike has had many alterations and currently sports a mix of Ultegra, XT and Tiagra groupset, Ritchey stem, Tektro Oryx Cantilever brakes on a Fatty fork and Specialized Rival saddle with a set of road tyres.

    Hi,

What width are the tyres? Reason for selling?

I have a selection of CX tyres that can on the bike, most are 32mm.
    Currently it has 25mm gatorskins.

I am selling to part fund another bike. n+1 can only go so far..

Would just be using it mostly as a winter trainer/commuter (I ride a fixed gear as a commuter but it's a bit much for the legs when I'm in a large block of training) so the gatorskins would probably be the best, unless you have a tyre that might suit getting dirty from time to time as well?

Would you consider €300 subject to a viewing? I know it's low but even with selling my fixie I'd be stretching at that.

If you and your fixie can stretch a little bit further towards 350e we could probably have a deal. Can you manage 325 euro, subject to your viewing?

That would leave both of us slightly short of the funds we need for our other projects, a perfect compromise*

    * a workable solution where no one is totally satisfied

Could you give me a little more details on the frame and components? ie. what model, how old, carbon or alu fork etc........ Just want to make sure I know exactly what I'm coming to view before I put in a firm offer. It will save any wasted time for both of us.

    Aluminium CAAD cyclocross frame
    Aluminium Fatty cyclocross forks
Front wheel – 32 spoke Plaet X superlight
Back Wheel – 28 paired spoke ninenineone
Shifter for front Mech – Old Ultegra double
Shifter for back Mech – New Tiagra 9 spd
    Front Mech – XT
Back Mech – Tiagra 9 spd
Chainset – XT cranks running 42 tooth BBB ring/32 tooth Shimano ring
    Cassette – 11/26 probably 105
    Saddle – Specialized Rival 143
    Seatpost – aluminium
    Handlebars – 42cm aluminium
    Stem – 110mm Ritchey 4bolt
    Pedals – Shimano spd

The age of the bike I don't know. I bought it second hand. It's a perfect bike for a winter commuter and has indeed served that purpose for me. It also makes a nifty touring machine with the addition of striaght bars and a pannier rack.

Ok, with taking everything into consideration I'm gonna stick with the offer of €300 pending inspection. Again, I know it's on the low side for you but I think it's a fair offer given the age of the bike and the use it's likely had. If I start going towards €350 I could probably find something newer with a carbon fork....
