Excellent turnout and brilliant days darts. Lots of new faces and consequently some surprise results. Good contingent of players from the Borough League. Lots of potential on show. A special mention to Robbie Smith who despite posting an incredible 10 darter and numerous 180's was pushed all the way in a 3-2 victory over a resilient and equally talented Alan Mulcahy. Emerging stars and eventual finalists Martin Byrne and Aiden McCabe both took some notable scalps en route to a closely contested final with Martin ultimately edging ahead in the deciding leg. Fair play to both players for their contribution to an entertaining and imformative days darts.

Lets hope at this late stage with lads down in 13th or 14th position, that there friends don't start throwing games for them.............. Leaving them win so they pick up a few extra points.

Final Trial. All things considered turnout wasn't too bad. Some brilliant darts thrown with lots of players upping their game in their endeavours to make the Dublin Panel for the Inter-Counties Darts Championships. Congratulations to all those who succeeded and commiserations to those didn't. Players of note on the day included Anto McCracken, Martin Byrne, Shane O'Connor, Dave O'Connor, Joe Kelly, Jimmy Dunne, John Dunne, Shane Ryan and exciting young player Darren Lynch(Remember you heard it first here). Deserving if somewhat surprising winner was Shane Ryan who played exceptional darts throughout and was good value for his victory over the ultra consistent Dave O'Connor in a high scoring final. Unfortunately Shane just missed out as regards the panel for the All- Irelands but we are going to give him a shot at the Leinsters. Dave on the other hand achieved the distinction of topping the Dublin Rankings. No mean feat considering the quality on display. Well done to both lads and again congratulations to all those who made the panel.
    Roll on February.
