Currently get 35mpg want something in the late 40's early 50's

I am looking to get a 2008+ diesel car something around 1.6 litres. Preferably a hatchback

    Budget of €7,500

€7500 won't really get you much of a post 08 diesel. You'll scrape it, but it'll be more down to what you'll actually get for that price rather than what's good.

You'll get all the dregs of diesel focuss from the uk and stuff advertised ex vrt.

    Kia Rio?

What do you mean by Dregs? Crap car and should't touch it?

Do you think so? i've seen one or two focuses at around 7900 and they included the VRT?

I was looking at the RIO as well but would prefer the Ceed_pro but they're rare enough & def out my price range!

What mileage would be good for a diesel 2008? 80/90,000 miles?

I mean the cheapest example of any car is always cheap for a reason.

The regularly serviced, never crashed, never stolen/flooded/clocked, not about to explode is rarely the cheapest one.

You may be lucky and get a good diesel focus for that money but you'll have to look at a lot of not so good ones as well.

    Fair enough thanks for that!
Maybe i should up my budget again! haha
