I was in there the other day for a look and to my surprise they have started stocking better name-brand components . They had Corsair cases, PSU's and fans and some Cooler master stuff. They've also gotten rid of all the ShCiT PSU's they once had. It's still a lot cheaper to get things online but, it's nice to see they're making an effort.

Ye noticed a lot of Corsair stuff the last time I was in, but still on the pricey side.

They started stocking that gear a long time ago, they also switched from selling low quality cases to stocking Zalman and Coolermaster ones as another example of improvement in the quality area, the prices aren't too bad either on those parts in comparison to online - the usual expected markup when dealing with retail, really. It's also nice to see they've mostly stopped selling the junk they used to offer as gaming cases/power supplies - 800w power supplies advertised as 'Sli/Crossfire compatible' that weighed less than a decent 250w unit and only had a single 6-pin pci-e. Their prices for mobo/cpu/ram kits, as well as video cards, are still breathtakingly awful however. The GTX 760 as an example is over E400 in there. Even PC World offer far better prices on Video cards - they have a 7770 for about 130 euro, and whilst that's overpriced albeit somewhat acceptably so, Maplins sell the same card for 260.
