Installing flush ceiling light on a rose

    Hi I recently bought a flush ceiling light but never though if it Ok to be installed on the Rose in my living room the base of the new light is fairly large and would take up most of the Rose is this Ok and can it be done?

    No different than mounding it directly to the ceiling,
    but it'll look poxy!

    Your only enemy is if you run into a Joist/Timber for the ceiling rose, Can you have a look? Bungalow?

    I see no reason why not, provided no strain on the wiring. Would it be better though to remove the ceiling rose and install the light fitting in the way it was designed to be installed?
