Recommendations for DJ and Photographer

Hi,

We are getting married 2014 and are looking for recommendations for a DJ and photographer/videographer. There are so many out there its so hard to choose and for the prices we want to make sure we are making a good decision.

If anyone has had good experiences can you please advise, we are based in dublin so from in or around the county would possibly be best. I believe that the DJ and music is one of the most important parts that people remember. We would be looking for a DJ with the uplighters and possibly monogram to add to the party feel.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

We used lollipop.ie and DJ divils, both reasonable and delighted with results from both.

We used Tommy Green from www.mobiledjs.ie for music and Darren Purcell from Visionary Photography www.visionary.ie and we were delighted with both, would highly recommend them.

Our videographer was limelightvideo.ie again great price great service - we had our video in the next couple of weeks and best money spent.

My advice is don't book too far in advance. Your plans may change, your budget may change, there are so many great suppliers out there I guarantee at least one will be available with a month to go to your wedding and you will prob get a better price too as they want to fill the date.

I booked video and DJ and guitarist with around 1-2 months before the wedding.

My sister used atl-photography.com and discocops for DJ and uplighting. She was delighted with both so highly recommended as she is hard to please

So, who did you go with in the end?
I've wedding coming up in a few weeks and have suddenly decided that a DJ maybe would be a good idea after all.

Wedding is in Cork, but happy to take any pointers.

Have you booked a band?
Most bands also offer a DJ as part of the package... it's usually one of the members and it's handy as all the gear / speakers is already setup.
Perhaps ask them if so.

Hi,

we have decided to go with couple.ie photography and a DJ called Ian Barrett. Both seem very professional, reliable and easy to deal with and also come with good recommendation. We are happy with our choices and looking forward to a good day.
