Water ingress passat 3b?

    hey, recently purchaced a 1997 Passat 1.6 petrol, was fine driving it home but then after a day or so the indicators failed then returned, driving down the road the next day and the horn started beeping and the headlights failed, im suspecting that this could be a water ingress problem, anyone any insight into it?

    Could be, although we haven't had much rain recently. It could also be a faulty wiring harness. Have you had a scan done on it?

    I did put it thorugh the car wash admitingly! its why im guessing so

    Have a look under the battery. There's a drain hole there that gets blocked up and causes water to run in to the cabin.
