Hey, I'm having a problem with my car tyres, in the sense that i CAN'T GET THEM CLEAN! The car is black which shows up the "dirtiness" even more. Ive tried scrubbing, the simonz polish stuff but they won't go black. Any suggestions?
    Cheers :)

A good scrub with an APC, rinse them off and then apply a good tyre dressing.

APC is All Purpose Cleaner. Something like this IDShot_225x225.jpg

Dilute it by varying degrees and you can use it for cleaning lots of things around the car.

Once it's clean and dry, get something to make the tyres blacker. I've had this stuff for ages. http://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_11101_catalogId_15551_productId_199177_langId_-1_categoryId_212511

Noccy, I know it may be frowned upon on a site such as this, but I find the Lidl W5 Tyre Care spray to be the best!

The W5 Lidl Stuff is good alright. And great value 1.90

But I find that Turtle Wax ''Tyre Wall Black'' to be the best. It's a trigger bottle. So you don't need as much

    Expect to pay 8.50 - 10 yoyos

Yeah, any of the All / Multi Purpose Cleaners that are available will do a good job; Daisy in Tesco, W5 in Lidl, or anything you see that can be diluted down for various purposes....try 5:1 initially and work to a stronger mixture if you are having no joy.
If you want to go straight for a product that will definitely do the job, then Autosmart G101 is brilliant, but can only be purchased in large volume. Any of the above APC's should see you through though!

Will using APC strip any protection from the wheels?

Depends on what protection you have on it!
If its a regular protection, then yes. If its something like gtechniq Wheel Armour, it will have little effect.
