Are you tight with your money on how you spend it?

I myself can be so tight with money that I refuse to buy myself a drink when out

I'm a firm believer of 'The Comfort Principle' - Spend money where you spend your time. So I spend my money on my laptop, a good bed/mattress, and TV.

I wouldn't say tight, but I prefer to save my money then over spend. I'm not rich so I can't afford to be going out every week buying loads of pints like my friends do be, or going to the shops and going on spending sprees all the time. So I do tend to come off as being tight, because I don't like to spend too much and am always saving to keep myself from going too poor.

This is just me right here. I haven't been out in along time just cause my friends get so drunk that I end up looking after.

And remind them the next day of their drunken foolishness with photographic evidence!?

    I despise your type.

I have a good balance. Save a certain amount of my wages every month but still go out, treat myself etc. when I want.

If I want something, I buy it. Simple enough, really. I never go without, and I'm able to budget and save, so if I want something, even something as frivolous as a pair of shoes I'll never wear more than once, I'll buy it.

I am extremely tight with money. I don't buy something unless I've researched every single possible place/website etc. I could buy it. I have a lot of items, many I don't need, but all of which was bought as cheap as you can get. I regularly visit thrift/charity shops and 9 times out of 10 I'll buy something second hand if i can. My only income is the allowance I get every week (10 euro) but I use that as best I can.
I am also a rather selfish person, I dislike buying stuff for others but do it when I can.

Presumably, therefore, you won't object if a vigilant pub landlord asks you to leave their premises?

    The wife thinks I'm tight...
Just back from a weeknd in Galway. The kids were spoiled and we had meals, pints and craic to beat the band, not once was there a bob spared.
I'll be a little bit tight until we have enough to head off again on the October bank holiday week end.
    Can't have it both ways...

I like to enjoy my life, but I have learned not to spend money I don't technically have anymore.
