We are in the process of renovating our kitchen. We want to reuse our wall tiles as they are only a few years old. We have managed to get them off the Walls successfully but we were just wondering the best way to get the tile adhesive of the tiles without damaging them

Soak the tiles in water for 24-48 hours basin/bucket/bin/bath depending on quantity.

The tile adhesive should scrape off easily after this, let them dry before rehanging.

Are they concrete or plaster slab walls?

Why do you need to know this ?

You could refit them in deeper bed of adhesive , making sure to keep them level.

That would save you from trying to remove adhesive , as soaking in water might not work as the adhesive is normally waterproof .

I misread the OP. I thought the adhesive was stuck to the wall, not the tiles. If it was a plaster slab wall then soaking was a bad idea!! My mistake
