Hey lads, recently I have built a PC for a family member and it runs windows 7 on a Samsung 840,recently they bought a Barracuda 7200 2TB drive but windows wont detect it,I havnt had this problem on my personal PC. Does it need to be formatted to FAT? if so how would I go about doing so,thanks.

well you have to format it use NTFS as you will be able to use all the space on the drive plus will be fasted to use in win 7

right click on computer --> manage
then click disk managment choose your new 2TB drive (make sure you choose the correct one you dont want to wipe your main drive
right click on it and choose format do a quick format will only take seconds and your good to go :-)
