Hey there, 2 Irish girls looking to move to London around January '14. Just wondering can anyone recommend any Irish dominated places on the outskirts of London with reasonable, close to bus stops, tube stations, etc?? Thanks guys :)

    Why 'Irish dominated'?

In any event, there's no such place. There's no Irish village anywhere in London.
Paddies are everywhere, if you're so inclined you can find them anywhere you go.

Your best bet is work out your budget for rent and go from there.

There are no Irish dominated places and even if there was you would miss out on so much by living in one.

West Drayton is a grand old spot, if your surnames Ward or McDonagh it'll be a home from home :pac:

To be serious, Clapham and the South West of the city seem to be the buzz places for young, Irish folk nowadays, certainly not the West / North West that used to be until the Tiger years.

There are no "Irish" areas in London; as a community we tend to be spread throughout the city. Irish community hubs take the form of centres, pubs and sporting events as well as the odd gig or festival. The only people who "dominate" an area in the way the OP is alluding to are probably the Bangladeshis in parts of East London or the Jews in Stamford Hill. And even then there are also plenty of other communities represented in those areas. You'll find an Irish outlet in any part of London that you're in; which is of course handy to have but in the meantime there's plenty other stuff to be doing.

Yup, back in the day, during the first waves of mass emigration from Ireland, Kilburn was a haven for the Irish, a home away from home where you could see The Nationalist and the KerryMan amongst others being read by men in pubs with Irish names :)

Having driven through Kilburn recently you can see the legacy of Irish domination there in the names of some pubs and shops. However, the area itself is now quite mixed with plenty of nationalities represented and as many Asian faces as European imo.
