Amazon UK are now selling the BlackBerry Z10 (Black only) for £229 (€268) sim free with free delivery.

CPW UK selling both the black and white versions for £229 however it appears that you need a UK registered credit card (maybe someone knows a work around).

I have this phone, great device. Not everyones cup of tea. The range of native apps isn't at the the level of iOS or Android but you have any techie at all in you it is easy enough to install android apps which the device can run thanks to any android runtime installed.

Siginificant OS upgrade coming in the next few weeks (10.1 to 10.2) but if want to stay ahead of the curve you can download a leaked OS from the interweb.

That is a good deal but I'm gonna wait for the Q10 to drop in price and it will. The lads over in Canada and the US have called it an unmitigated failure so it might be a potential Palm Pre 3 situation again. Hopefully. :D

I'm still using my Pre 3....
    I was thinking of switching to either a Z10 or a Q10....
    I'm a jinx!

I thought Blackberry were in a terminal downwards death spiral?

Why should someone buy one of them and install android instead of just buying an android to start with?

The Z10 runs BlackBerry OS 10 with its own apps and features. It runs Android apps in addition as an extra feature.

Ok, why should someone buy a Blackberry that can run Android apps instead of an Android phone?

If you want detailed information and reviews try a Google search. Bear in mind that most reviews were written at launch when the OS was 10.0. The OS has developed a lot since then. Officially the current OS is 10.1. 10.2 is scheduled for release shortly. I have a leaked version of it and it's a major step up from 10.0

My daughter is using Blackberry Playbook tablet, all I can say very good value for the money. It is around 1,5 year old and still working like Swiss Watch, no lag at all, OS is great, also if you want Android apps you can find them on internet already converted to Blackberry `.Bar` format. I am thinking myself to get Blackberry phone instead Android, which is lags.

Drank a lot yesterday (Seems to be becoming more and more frequent ).
Anyway, scratch my last post, it was atrocious. Sorry.

The OS (BB10) is great. It is smooth, very responsive and the battery (After many teething problems) has a good running time.
You can get all the important apps on Blackberry, and some work better, you don't need to get the Android apps.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BlackBerry_10 - speaks about many of the features.

This is a great price for this phone, but i believe it may come down a little more.

Since this thread, i have seen the price reduce 3 times, and i have had my first hands-on with BB10 and i think it is great. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=85506971

I can't think of many phones of that standard that are such a good price.

The Samsung Galaxy 2 is not near as good, and that still sells around that price bracket. S3 is more expensive and this phone would definitely give the S4 a run for your money.
You get this for £229, nowhere near the prices a Samsung galaxy, similarily spec'd phone.
