Was thinking of getting in a sport package on to my sky subscription. Which is the best package for the best value? I know there's a good selection between bt and sky sports but would like a second opinion

Depends on which sports you like and how much money you are willing to spend. Plenty of sport on FTA but unfortunately that is decreasing year on year.

What price would a months subscription of that be? Rang up sky sports and it was 35 euros a month!!

Thats not bad, might get it. Do you have it? Would you recommend it?

Other than Setanta Ireland no, although I've been considering it.

Would I recommend it? It really depends on what sports your interested in. If your main interest is the Premier League, the BT/Setanta/ESPN package will give you 12:45pm and one of the 3pm kick-offs but the other live games (in particular Super Sunday and Monday Night Football) remain on Sky. But it has exclusively live UFC and AFL (although there are highlights of the latter on both TG4 and Eurosport).

There was a thread over in Broadcasting which discussed Sky v Setanta in far more detail which you may be interested in.
