    Hi

Have a mate who has bought a new laptop, now wants to transfer his flight simulator X certificates from old pc to new laptop, does anyone know where they reside on the C Drive? or the correct procedure for doing this?

please move if not in the correct forum

    Cheers

If you have the DVD's, just reinstall them on the laptop. The on-line license key verification should allow you to install it on your new laptop.

No problem with the licencing, from what I can gather it is 'certs' earned for flying, logging hours etc...

There should be a logbook.bin file in the Documents/Flight Simulator X Files folder. Copying that should take care of it. But I would suggest testing this first.

Just to update incase anyone has the same problem,

Fixed the problem by copying the 'GrantedRewards.BIN' from

    Location:
    C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\

into the same folder in the new pc, and all certs reappeared.

    :)
