    On a new gigablue ds se 800 with the vix image no plugins can be downloaded and one has to install the various bits manually but for a newbie thats not easy to do, like where does the files go, ie which folder, how to install and so on. Then we have the remote, blue , red, green, yellow, what does each do.

    In other words help.

    what is the best image for a newbie, one that will make adding plugins easy. I like openatv but as the box came with vix is it easy and safe to reflash with another image after failing to get ccam to work? the ccam loaded was 230 as an ipk file with dcc but may have gone in wrong folder.

    And what is the best channel list to use.

    What do you mean the plugins cannot be installed ? What error message are you getting ? Is it to to do with being unstable ? You can disable the function ie not to download unstable plugins in one of the menus.

    You are looking for the softcams menus. You need to install one plugin.

    "enigma2-plugin-extensions-tspanel_7.2_mips32el.ipk"

    Use Filezilla. Connnect to box. Place the above file in the /TMP directory. Go to manually install IPK files in one of box menus. It will reboot. It will now be in your plugins and you can install whatever softcam/add on etc for your box.

    Guys,

    I'm looking for help again :)

    I would like to upload a bouquet onto my gigablue but i don't know how and I don't know which one. I have been reading in WoS but cannot find the answers on how to do it.

    I understand that if I upload a bouquet to the box I wont have to rescan my box all the time for when stations/transponders come and go and it will all be done automatically - is that correct?

    My set-up is motorised and I have the latest Vix image installed. I also have all my correct co-ordinates etc inputted into the box and I scanned Astra 28 just to see how it all worked etc. and that worked fine.

    I know how to scan in all the other sats. but just manually eg one by one. I presume though that with a bouquet it will do all that for me or I tick which sats I want scanned or something like that?

    So in brief:

    1) Which bouquet should I use and where do i get it from;
    2) How do I upload the bouquet;
    3) How do I scan the sats (or maybe this is obvious after I upload the bouquet)

    So would be very grateful for help/advise or even if someone can point out a good thread with all this info.

    Cheers
