    Hi folks,
After a long break from martial arts I ttok up jiu jitsu last wednesday. (Still feeling the pain) I loved it and am definitely staying put.
I dug out my old Karate suit and noticed that where the belt was touching the gi it stained. so now I have a really good quality gi with a borwn stain on the back.
I soaked it for 6 hours in vanish and washed it but its still stained.
    Anyone able to advise me?
I was thinkning about trying that glo white stuff my mam used to use on net curtains.
Its not a really bad size stain but I hate that its there and its a waste of a good suit.
    Advice please.
    Thanks

If it's brazilian jiu jitsu then this karate gi won't last for long anyway :)

yeah I was looking at jiu jitsu suits online and they do look like they have more stuff in them. :-)

As mentioned a karate gi won't last for long, so might be best to keep it for karate.
But if you'll never need a karate gi again, then you could always dye the gi to mask the stain. Dark blue or black would cover up the stain easily.

The problem with it ripping is not just that the suit will be wrecked, the the problem is if it rips in the middle of a throw and you get wrecked.

Patch on, immediately. Sorted. If it's Karate Gi, don't bother, waste of €12

I have tried vanish and also punch. I soaked it for 8 hours in vanished, washedit in vanish, soaked it in punch for 6 hours and washed it in punch.
at this stage I think I'll just abandon it. pity it's s nice quality suit.
    Thanks for the suggestions folks.
