I have one of each. Both great lads to deal with. And both will produce excellent knives.
If I am to be completely open and truthful, and I hope I don't offend either of the guys, as they both are great knives. I prefer the look of the J Reck for style, but I prefer the Davy Moore for feel in the hand when using. I use mine for Deer.

Both seem like excellent blades and ultra sharp. I have not got to give the J Reck any serious tests as yet but I will, and I will be very surprised if it does not hold an excellent edge.
The Davy Moore I have dogged and dogged all last season it did loose the edge but that was most definitely down to my lack of sharpening/maintenance skills. In fact I was luck enough that Musashi, who post here occasionally agreed to sharpen my Davy Moore and he thought it was a really tough steel and once I maintained a little and often It would be fine. I have it back and to be totally honest I could easily shave away with it, Crocodile Dundee style :D

My honest opinion is any man with either will not be disappointed.
I see there is a J Reck in the for sale section, check it out, you wont go wrong.
