JSA Query

    Hey everyone.

    Quick question?
I'm on my stamps and got aletter to say that stamps are nearly up etc. and I should apply for JSB or if I have more stamps to contact local SWO. Well it turns out I'm still entitled to JSA as I have worked and do have stamps.
My point being next week my payments are up and well despite reapplying twice and being told that I will loose out on 1st 3 days as I a new claimant despite being on JSB I will hear from them. Yet I've heard nothing then the 2nd time I was told that it will just continue as normal and well I don't have to do nothing as my payments will continue. Can anyone please clear this up for me as I'm confused and lost. Don't think backlog can be an issue where I am as they have always replied within a week when I was a new claimant.

Have you applied to the Community Welfare office for supplementary welfare?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

No as I don't know will I be cut off or what is happening as I'm being told different story every time. I think our Social Welfare system is showing as being a shambles because they don't have any set process it a joke. Like even if I get cut off and had to reapply that ok if they just say it (I have reapplied already) but fact is there no communication and it complete joke

    Yes

Its also possible to pick it up on other days. I know mine came in on Wednesday and I was able to pick it up on Thursday, Friday or Saturday

You have three days to collect it before it's sent back to the social welfare, and if you fail to collect it, there will be questions as to why you didn't collect it. So if you get paid on a Tuesday (which you will each week, Panthro), you can collect it on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday (wouldn't leave it too late on a Friday in case it's sent back!).

thats false you have until end of week always for every payment. So regardless of getting payment on a Tuesday or Thursday you have until close of Saturday to collect. And all payments are automatically off system at 8a.m. The following monday

I am fairly sure you can collect on a Saturday as well.
