How can I find out if somewhere is private property or a public area

    You could look at www.landdirect.ie and see if the site in question is part of a property folio. Also, look at www.valoff.ie and see if there is a named occupier of the site. Alternatively, pop down to the place in question and ask them if it is or not.

    If it's left in a residential housing estate an unmoved car for 2 weeks may garner attention from the locals so be sensible as to where it was left.

    If this is in relation to Road Traffic issues then even if the Earate is private it is more than likely a public place in relation to road traffic.

    Ring the local council and ask the planning office if it has been taken in charge.
