Hi all. Last year I had a bout of depression which kept me out of school for nearly two months. I missed a lot and as I still wasn't feeling great when I went back, I didn't catch up on much either.

New year, new me though. Felt a lot better over the summer and although I'm already feeling worse with the back to school, I'm determined not to let it get to me this year.

Now, for studying! I'm aiming for media in NUIM (460) or film and broadcasting with French in DIT (450). That one went up 35 this year, so I'm pretty worried, hah.

I'm taking maths, English, Irish, biology, French, accounting, and geography. All higher, and hopefully it stays that way.

    Aiming for:
    • Maths: D3 + 25
    • English: A1
    • Irish: B1
    • Biology: B1
    • French: A2
    • Accouting: C1
    • Gegography: B2
That's 510 points with my maths points kicking in. More than enough!

I'm thinking I won't do as good with that, especially in Irish and French, but fingers crossed, eh?

I've got a system worked out whereby I get internet/TV access in reward for one hour of study per night plus homework. The hour is divided into 40 minutes of a topic in a subject per night, 10 minutes for revising Irish vocab and 10 minutes for French vocab. I also have to dedicate 20 minutes per day to Duolingo where I am learning French and German.

So, let it begin. (Well, on Monday. I have it all planned out.)
