    Hi all,
I have been useing thesaurus payroll software this year and find it very use full. I have a small business with only 5 employees. i have found that when imputing the figures every week there was a week not updated so instead of being at week 34 i am only at week33. I have found the week that wasnt inputed but it is back 7 weeks ago. Is there any way i can go back and add back in the missing week with out having to input all theweeks after it.
    Thanks advanced.
    Daniel

Not familiar with Thesaurus payroll specifically. It really depends on how straightforward your payroll run is, are wage payments standard or variable in respect of each weekly run? You need to consider that PAYE is calculated on a cumulative basis. Presumably your P30 is understated by the amounts relating to the omitted Week 27 or 28.

Were your employees paid on the week where the error happened?

Short answer is no. I've used Thesaurus for years and it's the biggest flaw in the software and the reason I changed provider. We have a number of clients that we provide payroll services for and sometimes directors may want to adjust their salaries retrospectively. In some cases we would have to reverse the payroll for the whole year and reenter the data!

In your case, you'll have to reverse the payroll seven weeks and the re-enter the data again.

    Hi Daniel,

I work in Thesaurus. Because your a week short, as such, its as easy as just inputting the detail that was missed, lets say on week 30, on the next available week, in your case week 34. Your totals come the end of the year will then be correct. Obviously you will need to keep note yourself as to what you've done in case you have an audit but Revenue are only interested in the end result of you paying them whats due, i.e. total PAYE, USC & PRSI correctly. So even though your P30 for that particular period may be out slightly, your year-end figures will be correct.
Hope this is of some help. Drop me a PM if you have any queries.

Call the Thesaurus helpline and ask them what the best thing to do is. I have always found them very helpful. There is no extra charge for the support it is included in the cost of the software. You can find the number by opening the programe and clicking on "Help" then "About Thesaurus Payroll"
