AER ARANN EI-SLN

Has anybody ever noticed that this aircraft EI-SLN is a ATR72-212 but on the rear of the aircraft beside the passenger entry door it has ATR72-500 on the decal and the 500 is kind of scrubbed out but still visible?


On Another note i had the pleasure of being on the new Aer Arann ATR72-600 the other day and the cabin is so much quieter you forget you are sitting on a Turbo Prop

The ATR72-212A is marketed as the ATR72-500.
The -212A is a version of the -210 with 6 bladed PW127 engines.

Both the -500 and -600 model are certified as an ATR72-212A with modifications.

I thought EI-SLN is a ATR72-212 not the 212a model
