    Its a popular forum.

They have excellent people to answer all questions particularly on sacred scripture, Catholic spirituality, family, etc. etc. Plus really good Catholic appologetics.

CAF is US based but have members from all over the world.

The particular forum has it's uses and is a good resource for reference material.

However I would caution that there are a lot of US military types on that Forum who are intolerant of any criticism of US foreign (military) policy.

I have been in many arguments on CAF about US foreign military policy, indeed there are those who do not like the US being criticised but there are many who do, both inside ond outside of the US. I was not aware I was arguing with military types.

I must open an account there too......Is THAT where lots of our lost posters were hanging out? lol....bty, welcome back hinault!! Meant to say that to you when I saw you posting again...

I have browsed it a few times in the past but never joined up. The Patheos forum is quite good too! Some really good blogs.

I've never joined CAF myself but some of the back fence section had plenty of threads criticising 9/11, Iraq, Libya and the US adventures there.
Posters critical of those adventures were banned:(

I agree I have seen quite a few banning and found it strange. Note also that discussing unapproved apparitions is disallowed, this is probably a good thing for ones such as bayside and maria divine mercy though.

I find it good for asking questions in the sacred scripture section.

There are some great staff such as Jimmy Akin.
