Hi All, I injected 3 Angus calves (approx 5 months old) for copper today. 20 minutes later I heard a bang as one them collapsed in severe distress - stretched out and breathing affected then up going around the shed on its front knees. Rang vet who advised 10cc Colvasone into muscle which seemed to help greatly - possible toxic reaction to copper. Is much improved tonight. Never seen this happen before, anyone else see simillar?

From google tonight "As with other forms of copper supplementation, the use of parenteral injections can sometimes give rise to toxic reactions as well as allergic type responses with respiratory distress. It is recommended that any animal showing a marked systemic reaction should be treated by a Veterinary Surgeon."
