Abbreviating Professional Diploma in Education

    Hi,

    Does anyone know how to abbreviate the Professional Diploma in Education?

    In the past the Higher Diploma in Education was abbreviated H.Dip.Edu.

    I assume its P.Dip.Edu.!? But is there supposed to be a gap between Dip. and Edu.? i.e. P.Dip. Edu.

    It used to be the Post Graduate Diploma in Education or PGDE as you say, but the name changed last year to Professional Diploma in Education. And today it has been renamed Professional Master of Education, which is to run over two years.

    I'm just looking up websites etc, and all I can make of it is that it could possibly be P.Dip.Ed.

    However, there is no reference of clarification of this anywhere!

    It's PDE. The programme will be going to 2 years across all the colleges from next year and will be known as the Professional Master of Education (PME).
