    Hello all,

I would appreciate some feedback on these shots. It was my 2nd paid wedding. I like them a lot but I'd very much value other opinions.

    Thanks!

    Nice set overall. Well done.

I find the processing style - the monotone thingy with heavy(ish) vignette - which is a bit of a signiture for you (I think) a little heavy when all viewed together. I think it can and does work for a single image viewed in isolation, but i personally feel a bit meh by the end of viewing the full set. Anyway processing/shomsessing - that might be just my taste.

#1 - Classic portrait. Perhaps a tiny bit more headroom could be gone for?

#2 - Nice albeit slightly awkward / forced (it may not have been but just has that appearance)

#3 - Nice again. Natural. Possibly the forground bridesmaid a little too imposing on the shot, but it does tell a story - what are they looking at for that moment.

#4 - Quite cute. Candid and natural. #win

    #5 - Sensitive. Good.

#6 - Nice but the bouquet is a bit hanging out there in a posed like position which is just a little out of place.

#7 - Here's an interesting one. Nothing technically wrong with the image but wouldn't do it for me because wedding photos should be predominantly all about the bride. Ok, a token number of groom inclusions, but us men won't give a two'penny ha'penny about the wedding photos until about 10 - 15 years after the wedding assuming everyone is still together  Then they'll begin to notice things (yes there are exceptions but in general you should find that to be true).

In your photo it kinda loses the bride while the predominant subject becomes the groom. But the bride is kinda lost. Perhaps more context - who had she turned to. There was more to that scene than the groom with the bride truned away to the distance.

One other (and possibly greater) problem with this image. It has a kind of unflattering expression which you've happened to catch on the bride's face too (imho) - a bit of a double chin which isn't there in reality other than all of us can produce one if we tuck our chins back into our chest. Photographically imho, you were just unlucky to catch it.

#8 - is a little random / out of place in the set. Again, a little more context (the bride who is just out of shot perhaps). Possibly someone special and in which case it will work eitherways and I know nothing anyhow ;)

#9 - is rather tasty. nice. simple. sensitive moment. YES.

#10 - is fine. nothing special but nothing to complain about either.

Well done again, Some really nice work. #9 is the best of the set for me if i were only to pick one, but they are mostly rather nice anyhow.

    Cheers.

Really nice. I wouldn't go into hair splitting personal preference details (not a criticism of the post above!!) as they are really very nice. I'd be delighted with all of them!
