    Hi,
I got one last winter and found it very good. It heats up the room really nicely and it doesn't use half as much timber as my open fire did. Hope this helps.

We did get the chimney lined, we were told its recommended by Hetas to have it done for safety reasons but I think it depends on how old the house is and if the flue lining has cracks in it.

Looking at this stove also, did you buy it in the end west sider and do you find it good? was also told to line the chimney as its an inset stove and can cause tar build up.

son in law fitted a stove and didn't put in a liner and the heat cracked the chimney, when it was lit you couldn't touch the chimney breast, was told when buying it liner wasn't needed, 3.5k damage.....
