    Hi

Can anyone give me guidance on the right mix/supplies to use to match what the councils would use in doing kerbs and paths in estates?

I need to do some repair work out the front of mine and a previous job I did just didnt cut it.

    Thanks in advance

Do you mean outside the houseboundary walls/driveway??

If so,then you cannot actually touch that,as its county council property.

I would therefore contact DCC and request them to fix it for you.

A relative of mine recently got a driveway dishing done by DCC for her new driveway. She had to pay 556 euro for DCC to come out,dig up the patch or public pathway outside and make a driveway dishing for her.
As far as I know it was readymix concrete that was used to make the dishing.

Any contractor with public liability ins.(€8,000,000) can ramp or repair the public path .

    Hi Red,

Taking that work on yourself leaves you open to any number of possible problems, trips and falls from members of the public, no road opening licence....etc

Read this link regarding a road opening licence first regarding works carried out by an individual.......

    http://www.dublincity.ie/ROADSANDTRAFFIC/PERMITS/Pages/Road_Opening_Licence.aspx

Good luck and i hope that you try and pressure the local authority to carry out the repairs rather than trying them yourself.
