    Hi all,

I've been racing club league and A4 on my trusty old Focus. It's served me well, but gearing and geometry aren't all that race-oriented. I'm looking at getting a racing bike - odd to buy at the end of the season I know but I have a bit of cash set aside at the moment and am looking at maybe getting a 2013 model on discount and using the Focus as my winter trainer.

I'd been looking at a Felt AR4 or F4 from Wiggle or Hargroves, but based on what looks like better specs and the fact that I can try before I buy in Belfast / Athlone I'm looking at the Vitus Vitesse VRi for €2,337
    (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ie/en/vitus-bikes-vitesse-vri-ultegra-di2-road-bike-2013/rp-prod81022)
or the Planet X N2A with Force or Ultegra
    (http://planetxireland.com/products-page/n2a/) for €2,595.

The VRi looks like great value with Ultegra Di2, but I'm wondering if it's a bit premature to buy a first-generation Ultegra Di2, whereas you know what you're getting with plain Ultegra / Force. The Vitesse VRi runs 50-34, whereas the N2A runs 53-39. Both run 11-25 at the back. I haven't been able to find out much about the specs on each frame.

Also, I've already got a pair of Ksyrium Elites for racing on so wheelspec isn't a deal breaker unless the Planet X CT45s (Ultegra) or 52mm Carbon Clinchers (Force) are really worth having.

I'd be grateful for any opinions anyone might have on (a) the Vitesse VRi v. the N2A and (b) if you reckon the N2A is the way to go, whether I should run with Ultegra or Force.

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave.

The Vitesse VRi uses the same frame as the Sean Kelly team, they have had a lot of wins and this frame gets gets some good reviews with its earlier paint job.

I also saw a magazine review to say it has some flex when putting the power down, but paper never refused ink and this mag is known for conflicting reviews.

Its also the current frame the Sean Kelly team uses, the Hot Chilli team leaders use and Kelly himself. CRC-sponsored triathlete Bryan Keane rides one as well. BTW Ultegra Di2 is great however if its Force 11 on the PX I'd have a dilemma.

Nope, its the 10 speed Force. Thanks for the opinions!
