I was just wondering whats the minimum requirements to get into second year, like how many modules an you carry and if you just about miss out do you have to repeat the whole year again or if its just say a semester can you still go into second year and repeat that semester again at a later stage.

Best contact your course leader (email address and phone number listed on WIT website) about it.

You wouldn't want someone on here giving you incorrect info about it. Generally 2 modules can be carried but some courses can be lenient with this depending on what modules they are and potential workload.

If you fail too many subjects you can't join the second years. You can a) Go to the lectures for the modules you failed with the new first years throughout the year or else just do the exams from them. Either way you can't do 2nd year classes until you have enough modules out of 1st year passed.

Again though, contact your damn course leader instead of asking strangers.

Yeah definitely ask someone who knows the facts. Madness to trust a stranger on the net with something as big as that.

Jesus everyone seems a little touchy on the forum.

Its a simple question that the OP may have expected a simple answer that applies to everyone. In this case, it doesn't apply to everyone. You can carry forward exams, there is a maximum number, but it depends entirely on your course and the module. Some courses do not permit carrying forward (in the minority) and some courses require that modules be passed before going into the next year (as the subject may be continued or linked with another).

Ask your course leader for what applies to your course.
